Project information
The Specialised Information Service Pharmacy is a project of the University Library Braunschweig.
The German Research Foundation ( [DFG] ) has been funding the project since 01.01.2015 (within the Specialised Information Services funding programme). Currently, the project is in its second funding phase.

Project aims:
  • Improvement of literature supply
  • Optimisation of literature search and full text access
  • Development of innovative search tools
  • Advancement of information infrastructure
The Specialised Information Service Pharmacy has different work areas.

It is a cooperation project between the University Library Braunschweig and the Institute for Information Systems at Braunschweig University.

PubPharm search platform
The PubPharm search platform (www.pubpharm.de) is a freely available search engine for pharmaceutical literature.

PubPharm contains...
  • More than 55 Mio. references
  • Including 29 million Medline (PubMed) publications
  • Content beyond Medline:
    • Journal articles from adjacent scientific disciplines
    • Books (e-books, dissertations), conference papers
    • Information on clinical trials
  • Function suggesting entities related to queried drug: Display of related substances, diseases and genes
  • Structure search including substructure and similarity search
  • Different filter functions
